Cardiac Care

What is Cardiac Disease?

Cardiac disease is actually a number of diseases and conditions of the heart, or affecting the heart, and the body's circulatory system. The diseases range from hypertension (elevation in blood pressure), arrhythmia's or irregular heart beats, chest discomfort (angina or heart attack) and cardiac arrest.

Each year cardiac (or heart) disease kills twice as many people as cancer and eight times as many people as car accidents or infections.
