Good Health Is Just a Dance Away

Put on your dancing shoes and join us for our annual Day of Dance for Heart Health, scheduled for Saturday, February 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Severna Park Community Center, located at 623 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. Held in more than 60 cities across the country, this event features free health screenings, dance demonstrations by local dance schools and an opportunity to try dance styles including merengue, salsa, country line, hula and belly dancing.

The American Heart Association estimates that nearly 500,000 women die each year of cardiovascular disease, making it the number one killer of women in our country. Day of Dance is an opportunity for women to learn about risk factors, prevention and how to make healthy lifestyle choices.
