Dr. Munir received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism from the University of Maryland and the Baltimore VA Hospitals.
Dr. Munir is board certified and a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association. He is also an Assistant Professor in Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. Prendergast received her medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center. She completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Virginia Health Science Center.
Dr. Prendergast is board certified and a member of The American Board of Internal Medicine and The American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

Dr. Kristin Flammer, a fellowship trained endocrinologist, has joined the Joslin Diabetes Center at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Dr. Flammer completed her medical degree at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque, NM, and her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Dr. Flammer holds a special interest in osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases. She is board certified and a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Dr. Gopal C. Kowdley joins the Joslin Diabetes Center as a general surgeon, specializing in endocrine surgery. Kowdley completed his medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA and his general surgery residency and internship at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Chicago, IL. His special interests include thyroid and parathyroid procedures and minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Kowdley is board certified and a member of the American College of Surgeons.
