Baltimore Washington Medical Center in the Arundel Mills Mall

In 2000, Baltimore Washington Medical Center took a large step towards keeping our community healthy by opening a storefront in the Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover. The hospital's storefront does not sell anything, but offers free educational seminars and screenings to residents shopping in the mall.

Each week physicians, nurses and hospital associates offer free screenings and educational events. From cholesterol screenings to neck and back screenings to vascular screenings, the storefront offers various types of health-related events for people of all ages. The storefront is also home to a story time for parents and children and offers educational displays on genetic counseling, diabetes and nutrition and much more.

The storefront also offers literature on various diseases and conditions and hospital services. It also houses a phone that dials directly to the hospital's physician referral line for shoppers to find a physician. The storefront is also home to an interactive kiosk that provides information on the hospital, map and directions, physician referral and upcoming health-related events.

The storefront also acts as home base for the Mills Milers Walking Program that is co-sponsored by Baltimore Washington Medical Center and the Arundel Mills Mall. It is the largest walking program the hospital sponsors with more than 1,200 registered walkers. The hospital organizes the program and offers free screenings and celebrations for program members.

We hope you will take advantage of our free wellness events at Arundel Mills Mall. The storefront is located between entrance #4 and Dave and Buster's. For more information on the storefront or to be placed on the hospital's mailing list of Arundel Mills's events, call 410-787-4367.
