Multi-disciplinary Programs

Now, all the specialists treating Baltimore Washington Medical Center cancer patients can consult and collaborate in one location. Physicians can now diagnose patients and establish comprehensive, multi-disciplinary treatment plans, saving patients trips to various locations for testing and appointments with the specialists. This convenience also eases the stress and frustration of relating their medical history to multiple physicians. The center makes it possible for patients to consult with the physicians coordinating their care and receive the treatment that the multi-disciplinary team has created for them.

Your team may include your:

- Primary Care Physician
- Surgeon
- Radiologist
- Pathologist
- Radiation Oncologist
- Medical Oncologist
- Surgical Oncologist
- Nurse Coordinator

This multi-disciplinary philosophy is modeled after similar programs at University of Maryland's Greenebaum Cancer Center, which is in the forefront of developing ways to improve the quality of care.
